A friend of mine posted this quote on FB:

“If you see a blind man, kick him; why should you be kinder than God?”

My mind rushed immediately to:

“If you meet the Buddha, kill him.”

I know there are quite a few differences between these two but am I the only one who sees a common undercurrent?
That we are responsible more for how we react to what’s going on around us rather than for what’s happening to us?
